Resident conduct and environmental disinfection in homes with quarantined or observed individuals.

1. All household members must wash their hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or use 70% alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
2. Avoid close contact and sleep separately from those under quarantine or observation.
3. When with those under quarantine or observation, wear a cloth mask or surgical mask and maintain a distance of at least 1 meter or one arm’s length.
4. Do not share personal items with those under quarantine or observation. Rub hands until dry.
5. If eating together, use separate utensils and sit at least 1 meter apart.
6. Clean clothing, bedding, towels, and other items with detergent and plain water.
7. Clean the living area with a 5% bleach solution (1 part bleach to 99 parts clean water) or wipe contact surfaces with 70% alcohol while wearing personal protective equipment such as gloves, masks, and large goggles.
8. Monitor for any symptoms of illness for 14 days after the last close contact with a person under quarantine or observation.
