Narcotics Act (No. 8) B.E. 2564 His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun, given on the 25th day of May B.E. 2564, the 6th year of the present reign.
His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun has graciously proclaimed that it is appropriate to amend the law on narcotics. His Majesty has graciously proclaimed that this Act be enacted by the advice and consent of the Parliament as follows:
- Section 1 This Act shall be called the “Narcotics Act (No. 8) B.E. 2021”.
- Section 2 This Act shall come into force after ninety days from the date of its publication in the Government Gazette.
- Section 3 The content of (5) of paragraph one of Section 7 of the Narcotics Act B.E. 2522 shall be repealed and the following shall be used instead:
- “(5) Category 5 narcotics that are not included in categories 1 to 4, such as marijuana.”
