Ministry of Public Health Announcement (No. 425) B.E. 2564 issued under the Food Act B.E. 2522 on hemp seeds, hemp seed oil, hemp seed protein and food products containing hemp seeds, hemp seed oil or hemp seed protein.
With the government’s policy to promote and develop hemp as an economic plant by issuing the Ministry of Public Health’s announcement on the matter of specifying the names of narcotics in Category 5, except for some parts of hemp that comply with the criteria, methods and conditions as announced by the Narcotics Control Board, allowing them to be used in the food industry and other industries. However, their use as food must comply with the Food Act and must be used only for food purposes.
